The Republican party has been hijacked by the lunatic fringe element that represents rigid, intolerant, and irrational ideology - coupled with deception and paranoia. It's a clear recipe for defeat, a well-deserved one at that.
for a breakdown of the Liberal Socialist Democrat Lie check out; http://ace.mu.nu/archives/294292.php
the LSD reasons:
We didn't want to win these races anyway.
We could have. If we tried. But we didn't feel like it
The Republican party is going to rip itself apart. All of this talk about the party imploding is starting to be seen. I think it should split into two parties, one the moderate republican (normal fiscal conservatives like Reagan and McCain) and the crazy hate mongers (that never seem to do what Jesus would do). I'm not voting for either but I will enjoy watching it go down. Then the Democratic party gets even stronger and we can't lose. 8 million more people voted for Obama than McCain in 2009. If the republican party can't unite than Obama will win in an even bigger landslide 2012. I can't wait! Go Obama!
Well, they can give them their best to win ! What we have now is the worse of the worse. Liars and dishonesty is what is in there now.
They won't win anything big. Hypocrisy has it's price doesn't it? Hope they go down as hard as Mark Foley on a congressional paige. Tired of all the GOP whining on yahoo. It seems they only go here to try to validate each other and only show that they listen to the same pundits that nobody cares about. It's like the people that go to church and need other people to go to that church to validate their beliefs. Facist idiots anyway. Let the corporations take over everything, because they are so honest. God forbid the people that have a voice in an election pick the direction of the country. GOP idiots. Now they will thumbs down me to show me who's boss. Problem is, they still can talk. Then put up a bunch of mindless dribble, and then thumbs up each other to make it look like everyone agrees with them.
you forgot one thing though david, these dullards are TRUE america or REAL patriots---what a sad pathetic bunch!
True - wins won't do it for Republicans, but a return to the principles of smaller government and individual liberties will. We're seeing the resurgance of conservatism and it scares the hell out of Democrats. They've seen what an articulate conservative can do. It led to Reagan's 49 state landslide.
The idiots who posted the above are truly out of touch. They are the types who won't abandon ANYTHING as long as it has a "D" behind it. But the days of Jimmy Carter saw the same thing. And he screwed the economy so bad, that his people DID ABANDON him. I think Slowbama is trying to break the record for fastest stupidity. But he is lucky. His followers are a LOT slower than the old bunch that dropped Carter. These folks LOVE the Hope-a-dope.
Only 15% call themselves Conservative Republicans. That's down from 19% five years ago.
The issue here is the far far far right who's even frothy insane right of Bush screaming & demanding power back. Their screams are coming even at the expense of telling normal conservatives to go blow. IMO, that's not big tent, that's "screw your tent". It's not an electable platform today. It appears to be political suicide. I don't get it. The party leaders speaking have more in common with Rush, Beck, Hannity, & Bachmann. Reagan & Goldwater are rolling over in their graves. The GOP are cutting off their nose to spite their face & saluting while going down with ship saying, "We're fine!!! But you're in trouble". I'd expect reality at some point, but in never comes...
johnny b,
What is your source for your 15% figure? It is inordinately low compare to numbers I have seen recently and even heard Democratic pundits admit to. Please list where you saw it or are you saying something you read a year ago and hoping that saying it is so will make it so?
Don't blame Obama,he's only doing what his white masters tell him to do, if you don't know about these white masters watch Glen Beck,
unless you are afraid to know.
Two events in my youth lead to my deep commitment to conservatism:
First, I learned to read.
Second, I learned to count.
Later, much later, I learned that I had more in common with the GOP than I did with the left. Nothing has changed to alter that worldview. I remain conservative.
Like many others, more than you would like to admit, I eschew party affiliation.
Like MANY others, more than you will ever admit, I abhor socialism.
i love america, but i fear my governemt and the guy who is in charge, its not his color, or his name , but how hes handled everything so far. making extreme choices while devaluing our dollar abroad and devaluing us as a country are a sign to me that we are not the america some wanted to bring into the limelight for the world to see. we are being laughed at and torn apart bit by bit. i did not vote for him or the lying facade of change he promised knowing full well there are people he owes out there and lobbyist who keep his pockets greased just like every politician and president we have ever had.oh my country tis of the once a sweet land of liberty , tis of this wish i could sing , now my forefathers founding pride is a disgrace to our government and something they want to hide.
The media is just a mouthpiece for the democrat party and therefore, government these days.
This article is just another example of it.
You're not free unless you have a free press.
The hateful liberals are already trying to spin and discount the inevitable wins for conservatives tomorrow. The truth is - obama is done- the country has buyers remorse, and conservatives are organizing to make their voices heard.
The three elections are extremely important to the psyche of the liberal democratic party. Even more so for the White House. It will be the proverbial writing on the wall. In other words, the demise of their power in the House and Senate.
Time to step up to the plate people. We need to forcibly eject these people in the coming elections 2010.
Send a message........Spread the word.............
Stop fuking around................
Working in the hotel industry, I talk to people from just about every state and profession. What I have been noticing in the last few months, people have become increasingly more uneasy about the current admn. We talk politics alot of the time but it isn't name calling anything like that. My last conversation, was with a gentleman with the teachers organization holding there conference at our hotel. This man was an African-American and said that he had voted for Mr. Omana, but now he wasn't so sure about him. I said that I had not and I had wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but was really fearful for our country and our liberties etc. We talked of other things too. But one thing was very clear we were both worried along the same lines. MJ in Texas
The republicans can come back if they stick to the Constitution and not pursue their own personal agendas, or those of campaign contributors, that differ with it. Hopefully, they learned a lesson in NY's 23d Dist. Let the people pick THEIR candidate through a primary election, not a few party bosses "choosing" a liberal loser like Dodo Scuzziefoofoo.
I'm a Republican and proud to be. I beleive in our rights as they have stood for many centries. OBAMA is trying to change our way of life and i don't like how he is doing this. He has to be stoped. We need to put the truth out everyday of what this man is trying to do to us. His Adminstration isn't any better than he is they're communist the whole dam lot of them PERIOD.
When the elephants have such candidates as this so called republican in New York who was a liberal supported by Acorn, who then endorsed the Dum running for office,on a ticket,we Americans need to take a hard look at whats running for office out there.
None of them care about the American people,or our constitution,I'd rather not vote than be forced to vote for someone,to just vote for someone.
Maybe it's time for,"none of them",on the ballot.
The problem with not voting, what right do you have to B_T_ H! We as voters have some responsibilty to research our elected officials record once they are in office. Whether state or federal offices, find out how they vote, when the legisaltive bodies are in session what is their absenteeism (sp) etc. etc. We need to make them accountable for what they are doing. And so on and So forth. It is importance that we as citizens stay vigilant; whether you are Rep, Dem or Ind etc. See you at the polls MJ inTexas
The Republithugs are done. They have no message, no hope. But then again, they are the party of 'No More'.
:-P
If the more conservative candidates win all three races – NY 23rd, NJ and VA governors – it surely calls into question the national view of Obama the Invincible. To say otherwise is just whistling past the graveyard.
Just one year ago, the Republican Party was called dead. Now, it may pick up two governorships and a congressional seat. If that happens, then you can thank or blame the Tea Parties that have sprung up around the country. You can also bet your bottom dollar that the more liberal R’s will be facing stiff opposition in their primaries from conservative candidates.
Only those who support the 10th amendment of the US Constitution will be getting the Tea Party support.
P.S. Don't count Govenor Palin out of the 2012 Presidential campaign. She's the one who gets the most cheers when she is mentioned.
If you don't vote for a true Conservitive in the next Republican Primary,or an independant Conservitive in the next general election, Then you are as much at fault for the Demise of our country as the Democrats. This NY race is Proof that the Republicans don't even know their own candidates. By running a Marxist Liberal the Republican party has proven they are out of touch.
We have to balance out Congress, and soon! We can't let the left-wing majority pass all these ridiculous bills that Pelosi and Obama want passed. There has to be balance and middle-of-the-road agreement. At least if we stay in the middle of the spectrum people can at least have some say what happens. By going to extremes all we're doing is making half of this nation angier and angrier.
Solution: open primary elections for all parties....repubs could vote in democratic primaries and vice versa. This would force candidates to take a less extreme stance.
the biased media and the Democrats can deny deny deny but the truth is there is a change coming and it aint from Obama!
