Compromise Reached On Health Care Bill: Anti-Abortion Amendment To Be Given Floor Vote

As the House of Representatives inches toward a final vote on comprehensive health care reform this weekend -- the most dramatic domestic policy debate in several generations, a reorganization of a sixth of the economy -- the only thing the parties can talk about is abortion and immigration.

"It tells you something about our country," remarked one distressed member of Congress, who didn't want… » Full Story on Huffington Post

i am against taxpayer money being used to fund abortion. if women can do this, they will automticaally seek govedrnment assistance to abort their babies. if you don't want to be a parent, quit f***** around.

illegals also should not be allowed to receive health insurance, nd i do not care if they are of european, african, hispanic, asian, polynesian, indian, arabic, or any other group of people.

The Democrats refused to stop the loan companies in 2004 and look where we are now Blaming it all on Bush Democrats said lets go to war Blamed it all on Bush So you say because it is Obama in office that the Healthcare has to work and that we will live happily ever after with milk & honey and that he will lead us into the promise land where their will be no end You Liberals better wake up their is no milk & honey He is a Politician like the rest and not a Savior
Government keeps finding ways in spending tax payers money until their is nothing left Bureaucrats from each state know that they shouldn't But they act like children knowing dang well they are milking the system leaving people like you and me with nothing left, Don't be so naive into thinking that this wont hurt the economy Remember the stimulus was suppose to keep unemployment stable Obama even reinsured us that it would

"50 million"? Once again Huffing-Stuff throws out bogus numbers. Please be honest for a change and take that $50M - # of Illegals - People who choose NOT to have insurance and tell us what that ='s!

I believe it is more around 10M and they should be on Medicare but the GOVERNMENT won't let them because they do not "income qualify". That tells me that the very Government trying to take over our health care industry are the main root of the uninsured problem.

Tort reform you idiots - no government take over. No illegals. No abortion. No cuts to Medicare or Medicaid.

Yes to buying insurance across states lines, limits on malpractice suits (loser pays all), etc.

Fix what needs to be fixed and stop screwing with the rest.

Another Huff and Puff....Democrats should be worried if they want to be re-elected in 2010......maybe they do not care anymore?

The issue we all need to be concentrating on is the economy, jobs, and the deficit. What we do not want is another spending bill that we can not afford anyway. Why does reform always mean that we have to spend money. Cut waste, fraud, Tort reform, and open border for HealthCare Insurance. The only ones against these items are thieves, lawyers, and special interests.

Votem out in 2010....

After the loss that Barrack O'dumbos Democrats took in Virginia and New Jersey O'dumbo wants a Democratic vote by tonight on his laughable eight pound Health-Care Bill.

He wants this vote more than anything else because of the millions of African-Americans who do not have health-care (and have not much of antthing else either) and he also wants this because of the millions of Illegals we now have in our country. He ses this as a pretty good voting block of 32% with 13% African-Americans and 19% Hispanics. However, If he gets his vavorable vote today many Dems in Congress will not be re-elected. Thats' the good part.

Go to the polls and vote these guys OUT....... if we don't, then we deserve what we get. It's time we get off our duffs and speak out before people start taking to the streets.... and that will happen if things continue the way their going. We'll be caught between both sides of "radical". Remember, "freedom" isn't FREE, it comes with responsibility and becoming involved.

This bill still includes massive fines and jail time if you refuse or are unable to buy insurance. I hope they have enough room to accommodate a large number of people. Where is the debate, where is the accountability to the American people? Where is the outrage?

Just visit a Veterans Hospital before you vote, and remember that, the VA Hospital is a Government run health care provider. And if that doesn't change your mind, your in deep trouble.

This is pure crap. If the democraps cramt his through with no bipartisan input, they can fully expect to be driven from office.
54% of Americans have made it clear that this is not reform. It is a power and money grab by democraps.

Supposedly there are 50,000,000 in U.S without healthcare but Per THE CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICES own numbers, lets look at what that consists of to determine if we need an overhaul.
1st, nearly 10,000,000 of that number includes people who are not citizens.
2nd, roughly 17,000,000 of the people classed as uninsured live in households making $50,000 or more a year and can technically afford to buy health insurance but choose not to.
3rd, 45% of all of the "uninsured" will be insured again within 4 months who then get insurance.
In conclusion, there's no crisis need for nationalized or governmental healthcare.
Real tort reform, the kind trial lawyer loving Democrats have fought for 50 years, is what will bring costs down.
We should deport illegal's who turn up for health care.
Cobra expansion or minor subsidy would address the short term needs.
Those earning over 50k who don't buy it should not be aided for their own stupidity or choice.
