I am glad his parents are allowing him to have a normal life. Too often people who are different are left out or ridiculed.

I'd be more worried about catastrophic knee injury if I was his parents-- that will stay with him the rest of his life. Painful!!

Go for it if you don't get hurt, kid!!

I admire Brendan and hope he just enjoys playing football and being a kid. It seems like he has good friends, parents and coaches and I pray that his doctors find a way to help ease his pain so that he can enjoy life even more as he gets older!

Hope all the best for him. So many times kids like this are treated badly. I myself was taller than most of the kids in my class. They made fun of me and called me names, but when it came time to get a book down off the shelf in the library I am the one they came to.

I wish I could get things off of the upper shelf and look what God did for this beautiful boy but way to early in his life.

I would be afraid of him playing to much because someone might try to hurt in such a way he would become a cripple and I don't think anyone would want.

MAY GOD BLESS HIM AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY NOW AND FOR ALL TIME AS I AM SURE HE WILL!!!

Brenden is a friend of our family and a great kid. I'm excited to hear that he is playing football this year. I'm sure the decision for him to play was not made lightly. Go Brenden!!!

Great story! I hope all the best for Adam and kudos to his mom, I'm sure with the medical concerns Adam have letting him play football was not an easy decision. Kudos to the coach who has given him this opportunity and for being so understanding about his limitations and being creative with the plays so Adam can get some playing time

The Giants are givong him $$$ right now under the table because they know Lil Eli can't hit the broad side of a barn without PLAX. This kid will catch all of Lil Eli's poorly thrown balls. He can't grow tall enough as far as Lil Eli is concerned.

If football doesn't work out, sign him up for pro wrestling. They've needed a replacement for THE GREAT ANDRE THE GIANT for two decades. At 7'4" one can make $$$ one way or another as some sort of freak show. That's what they all become if they don't make it in sports. Hey, it's a pay check. Maybe even the circus...

Go Brendan go! You should be commended for your spirit and your courage. Instead of sitting it out, you've decided to dance.
