It's not that the stimulus package created NO jobs, it's just that they created non-core, temporary jobs that had no long lasting effect on the recovery. And the core jobs that were sustained (e.g., the auto purchase program and the "first-time" homebuyer subsidy) are jobs that will immediately fall away the minute the subsidy stops. So, Romney is largely correct.

Danny, last I checked, unemployment was at 10% and rising. That does'nt sound very good and is higher than at any time during the Bush years. Obama is inexperienced and naive and we will all look back at the Bush years as a period of prosperity.

The crisis came in 2007. Indeed, by 2004, the Bush administration had weakened
the CRA — and after that (though not, presumably, because of it), bubble

insured banks. Problem is, half of the subprime loans came from mortgage
