First! yay. So now we have a situation don't we? The cash for clunkers was a way to boost the economy, but had people with worse credit than before try to take on more credit with this program. If it was soooo successful, then why is GM still tanking in the stocks? The U.S. Government owns more than 50 percent of this company, but it is still sliding backwards. If the recession has ended, then somebody needs to tell wall street. And....the unemployment agencies. The only thing that has ended here is the investigation into where all of OUR hundreds of billions of dollars went missing. It is as if obama doesn't want to look at the 800 pound gorilla standing in the corner with the sign on his neck that reads CHINA. They bought him the white house by donating 300 MILLION DOLLARS to his campaign for presidency.

gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year.
They claim 700,000 vehicles - so that's 224 million gallons / year.
That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.
5 million barrels of oil is about 1/4 of one day's US consumption.
and, 5 million barrels of oil costs about $350 million at $70/bbl.
So, we all contributed to spending $2.8 billion to save $350 million.
WHen all costs are factored in , each car purchased under Obama's miserable failure Cash for CLunkers Program cost American tax payers $24,000....!!!!!!!!!!

Where do people think we got the money for this wonderful program bestowed upon us by our magical Leader on most high? Hum? From Government? Hum? From Obama's stash? Hum? No! From the taxpayers!
