With so much uncertainty about new taxes er... umm "fees", why would anyone want to start or expand a business? Besides, isn't it the governments job to create jobs? Seriously, Obama just doesn't get it either that jobs aren't a priority.
He's too busy finding ways to tax those of us that are still working to worry about job losses. What a dummy. I'm no economist, but even *I* know penalizing the workers (to give those out of work money) won't make more jobs - nor will a stupid healthcare bill or cap and tax. I guess he doesn't care - after all, all HIS friends and family are 'employed'. (thanks, taxpayers!)
I seem to recall the President saying that unemployment wouldn't top 8% if his stimulus plan was passed. Now we sit at 10% and climbing, with rates likely to soar much higher if his equally nonsensical healthcare and cap and tax bill are passed.
Obama's policies are not aimed at doing the most good for the most people (like lowering taxes for example); they are not aimed at elevating ALL American's. Instead, they are aimed at achieving his liberal, Utopian goals of economic, social, and environmental justice. He TRULY believes he can create equality of outcome with his policies.
It's all been tried before....and failed miserably....Just think of the old USSR, Cuba, China, etc...etc...

Obama can't figure it out!??!!??? It is your tax and spend agenda. You have began a class warfare, you have done too much too fast without any of it working to help the economy. Businesses, large and small, are cutting employees. The cost of living is skyrocketing and at a time when there are no jobs! Even if people found a job, you are going to eat up whatever they make in taxes.
Try helping the taxpayers and the economy will get better. However all politicians are doing now is "helping" themselves while the rest of us barely make it. Practice what you preach.
Obum tries to deflect the issues by saying,

What? Stores are cutting their throats, look in your local papers and see the 40% to 75% off merchandise, just to move the inventory out. Start buy giving help to businesses to help them out first.
The only growth in the economy was government spending. We will have to pay all that money back with interest. People spending money creates real jobs not government spending.

the christmas holidays are comming and employers are not hiring, so after poor sales for christmas you will see more lay offs.

Obama promised that the US unemployment rate would not pass 8% (it was 7.5% at the time) if his political-pal pocket-lining $1 TRILLION Porkulus Plan was passed. It was passed. Unemployment is now 10.2%, effectively 17.5%.

Obama is doing a great job. He saved this country from a financial collapse that would have been generated from conservatives who wanted to cut spending during this deflationary cycle. Well, the economy did not tank overnight and unemployment is a helluva lot higher than 10.2%.
We began outsourcing our jobs and futures in the 1980’s. Jobs left, incomes started to dip; therefore, we are less able to consume. It’s going to take YEARS for government to understand the problem, and many more years to solve it. Until then, we should change the retirement age to 35 and make U.S. corporations pay all benefits. They are the folks who killed us. And for DOL BOLS unemployment stats, everyone knows they're doctored. We're really looking at 17-25% unemployment.
