Now Europe is getting a taste of what we have had to put up with for years. The destruction of our heritage and traditions by a few extremists who push their own views on everyone else. The time has come to tell these "people" to leave if you do not like our traditions.
Italy is apparently doing what American has done. Replacing Christ and any evidence of Him for those who seem offended by Christianity. I'm American. I say if you aren't a Christian and you dont like Christian ways, go back to your own country...OBAMA !!!!!!!

If a sign of Christianity offends some people and is ordered to be removed by the courts, then ALL signs of ALL religions should be removed as well.
Why is it, at least in the States (and now apparently in Europe as well), that anything Christian always seems to offend somebody (example the ACLU)...but others dressing a certain way in public to adhere to their religious beliefs seems to be fine with (and even respected by) groups like the ACLU???

Welcome to the world of "damn the Christians", but everything else is okay. The whole idea of freedom of religion is based on long experience that shows how establishments don't like to be held up to ethical systems that they can't define. If they can't take it over and run it, they'll try to suppress it.

Mark, You are correct - In America if you dress in a certain way, you are making a religious statement and I have to accept that... Whether I like how someone dresses to make a religious statement, I have to respect their choice - it is too bad that the Italians did not stand up for their religious heritage. We all have to make allowances, many different religions dress in ways that they are identifiable - I have to tolerate that - but you cannot tolerate Jesus Christ?
Actually, eznow, what is funny about these 'progressive' countries that try to tell America how we should be, and how we should treat minorities, they have stricter immigration laws and thus allow fewer rights to minorities. Not very progressive, if you ask me.......

The Muslim population is explosive as is Muslim immigration. All of Europe will be dominant Muslim within 20 years. The average fertility rate of ALL european countries is UNDER 1.5, and a minimum of 2.1 is required to sustain a culture. The Muslim fertility rate is 8.1!!! The US is at 1.8 but when the Latino immigration is added, we come up to a 2.11. Look this up folks. Although we have a huge Muslim immigration as well, it is a fact that France, Italy, even Canada will be predominantly Muslim within 20 years while the US will maintain it's culture, with the Latin influence. Do we really care what these countries think about us, they will be gone in 20-40 years as we know them today.

Not only is Europe starting to see the down-side to federalization, they also get to see how they destroyed their voting rights. Imagine a court in Strasbourg making a decision on playing fields in Islip, NY, Nashville, TN or Tucson, AZ. Wouldn't you be unhappy? They don't have to respect our constitution...America needs to be very observant about this scenario - a court in Rotterdam will be making decisions irrespective of our laws. This is NOT just about religion - more about abuse of the police power of the state AND giving that power to enforcement bodies with no responsibility in the exercise of that power.

Do you guys teach about how the Vatican signed "the concordat" with Hitler in July of 1933 giving the Nazis their First real international political prestige and how about the fact that the Catholic Church publicly blamed the Jews for the death of Christ until Vatican II in the 1960's? Or do you guys just stick to making the kids memorize "The 7 Sacrements" and the parts of a mass so as Not to confuse their minds with needless facts???
