Honduran rivals signal new bid to solve crisis (Reuters)

Reuters - Honduras' ousted president and de facto leader gave signs they would try again on Saturday to form a unity government to guide the country out of a four-month crisis after the process collapsed a day earlier. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

"meant to restore him in power.” If that was meant to happen why wasn’t it in the accord?.

“it was widely assumed” is not a phrase that should ever be used in reference to a legal document. Zelaya read it! Zelaya signed each article! Now he claims to have been duped by the evil gringos!

The Accord is in play and is being followed by those with honor and integrity, including an OAS observer.

zelaya lives in a fantasy world of his own making...he likes to read things into documents that are NOT there. He has NO legs to stand on concerning what he signed...he's just an ignorant...pathetic...cowboy hat wearing...but dangerous idiot...who wouldn't know or understand the truth...if it slapped him in the face. MEL....MY BOY...GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER..YOU'LL BE GOING INTO POLITICAL EXILE SHORTLY......

Mel zelaya was not forced to exile, the AP keeps reapeating the phrase,he knew when he started with the famous cuarta urna, bringing in the ballot boxes already full from Chavez, that the Honduran constitution does not allow a second term, avoiding the same situation,"DICTATORS," so he is responsable for his actions!!! now why is our new government even bother to listen to him,he brought all this situation on himself,he is just a stubborn, liar,a troublesome man,and a leftist Chavista!!!! trying to put chavez in power in Honduras, saying"Hondurans should be gratefull to Chavez" can you imagine his mentality, when all these two tyrants brought to Hondurans is crissis, the world need to stop listening to his lies, and really see him for what he is!!!!

And so the Kabuki dance continues -- but Zelaya's insistence on reinstatement as a precondition for joining the "unity" government will remain an insurmountable obstacle. I can't imagine what NEW ideas may have surfaced -- the ex-President just continues to waste everyone's time, and the elections are just 3 weeks away! And I can't imagine how campaigns can be organized and go forward in the perpetual crisis atmosphere concocted by Zelaya.

He needs to accept his short-term part in the government. If he does not then the diplomatic community will have to come to the conclusion, it is all about him to him. He has allowed himself to be painted into a corner. This was supposed to be about democracies do not force their elected leaders out of the country with a military foot up their butt. The context has changed. If he really loves his country, he needs to bite it and take it. Just when the other side pushes their pride aside, after months of refusal to do so, is not a smart time to back-track oneself.

Most of us realized long ago that this was all about Zelaya. Every day this drags out now will continue to expose Zelaya for who and what he is to the international community and his disciples.

Hopefully the Truth Commission as well as the United Nations inquiry will come to the conclusion that what happened on June 28th was not only justified, but that the International Community’s instant condemnation was an illegal act of aggression and interference in the democratic process.
