Steve, you were the man! From the time you were with the Houston Oilers to the Titans, Ravens. You had a gun! My heart broke when we lost the superbowl by one yard! R.I.P. Steve. You'll always be honored here in Houston, buddy.
Steve McNair, If he had not been killed, earlier today could have given So much more to the National Football League & have been a *Viable*Veteren* Starter for My San Francisco, Calif. 49ERS, *No Doubt*! His "Never Say Die" arttitude & his type of competitiveness is,.. Exactly what Coach Mike Singletary needs to take the NFC West Away from the Arizona Cardinals, such as loss of a talent, (See Titans Playoff Footage from Jan. 2004!) Shows Jeff Garcia/Steve Young type of *Elusiveness* & A Fighting "Warrior Spirit" that we have lacked ever since we Lost to Green Bay, 25-15 in The NFC Div. Playoff game at Green Bay in 2002,.. *Rest*In*Peace*,. Steve,..You Shall be Missed, As a Man,..& As a Fighting NFL "WARRIOR!!
It's always a shock when high-profile athletes die tragically. You didn't have to be a fan of Steve McNair's to respect him as an athlete, and as a man. He was a good human being. RIP Steve!
Sounds like a murder suicide at the hand of his girlfriend from some of the other news organizations. That's crazy, usually it's the dude who go's nuts and starts offing people. McNair was a badass and one of the toughest players ever, RIP. It's always sad to see someone with such great potential have their career sidelined by injury, and it's even more sad that this chick thinks she had the right to take him from his family and friends.
I am so sorry McNair was dealing with a person with serious problem and this cause his life. My heart break for his wife, children, and family. I hate he could not see that something was wrong, or maybe he thought it would get better. What a loss.
He was a hard guy not to like. Respected the way he played and spoke about the game. Was taken back when I read it earlier today. The way you played Steve was an inspiration to me and you were truely a gift to the game of football. You will be missed.
It is always sad when someone dies, we should all feel that. My question is, what in hell is a 20 year old FEMALE other than his WIFE, doing in his house at 2 a.m. while he is away from his WIFE and then he has a vehicle in BOTH of their names, are people forgetting these MINOR details. Maybe his wife knew about her, and decided to off the skank ho and his cheatin' ass, maybe not. Also, why in the heck did the police say they think his wife is not involved, yet they are not looking for suspects?? So they are not trying to find the killer/s??? Whole situation is odd, overall, I am sad that so many people both famous and not famous have been dying in such a short time in this new year of 2009, only 7 months into the year:(
I pray that these babies and children stop dying and being brutally killed left and right also:(
maybe she was just a youngbfriend that he was trying to help who had gottten arrested for DUI on thursday? We do know all the details, yet it seems strange. So what???? Rest in peace steve, rest in peace.
I got a gut feeling if he just would have kept his family life strong and not been with this other woman he would have been fine. Money makes you stupid, Women... well they can make you brain dead. In this case... Ahh yes right yet again.
Great. So he was a good football player and wanted to win.
That said, what was McNair doing on a weekend when most fathers are spending it with their children? Four sons and the dad is off with some girl who isn't mom. No divorce, no court orders restraining him from being a dad.
Give me a break. McNair should be awarded the "Worst Father of the Year" award posthumously. He's exactly what every married man should aspire not to be.
