A loss fans didn't deserve

Green Bay faithful are still stinging from a loss to Brett Favre, says a blogger. » Full Story on Y! Featured

Good analysis...it was a tough one all around. Ever notice how its the fans that get the short end of the deal when ever managment and players fight? Well, this experience has been the ultimate stick in the eye for the Packer loyal.

Still, have to respect Favre the player...but I've lost all respect for Favre the man.

The problem is Thompson, the club president. Had he not been such a jerk with Brett, they would still have one of the best to ever play the game. None of this can be put at the feet of Farve.

GREENBAY GOT WHAT IT DESERVES !!!!!

FEW PACKER FANS HAVE CLASS WHEN IT COME TO FAVRE

Sixteen years was forgotten quickly when Brett Favre marched on the field Sunday, as he was littered in boo's. I was watching ESPN on Sunday morning, when they did a segment on Brett. When asked about Brett playing for Minnesota, the old idiot with a voice box called him a "traitor".
GROW UP YOU "CHEESEBRAIN" IDIOTS!!!!
HE DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE!! OWNERSHIP DID!!! DID YOU FORGET?
I HOPE HE BEATS YOU TILL HE FINALLY DECIDES TO RETIRE!!!

Green Bay treated Farve like an old football shoe. It's great to see the quarterback who never missed a game, give Green Bay the boot. Again!

Whether or not Brett was undecided on whether he was coming back or not (which most people should understand is a family decision), it was Packer Management that decided to hand the reigns to Mr. Rogers. They sent Brett off...Brett decided he didn't like the way they did him so...the polite thing to do was to go back as a Viking and beat their you know whats!!! Which he did...twice!!! Ha. So Packer Fan...look at your own Team Management for a blame on that one. Go Brett!!! Go Vikes!!!

I think Brett is glad he left. I am not sure he could handle the pounding Aaron is getting. Lets put blame where it should be. The players are the ones on the field not doing their work plane and simple. Our line just sucks, and Aaron is holding the ball to long thinking he has the time he had last year. Brett is in a system that is perfect for the end of his career. I think that is why he was smiling when he came on the field. I bet Ted Thompson get's a few more linemen next year. Come on Ted spend some money for a few good linemen. Or will you be cheap again like you were when had two good offensive guards and let one go. I do not blame Ted for letting Brett go, but for him not understanding what the team REALLY needed.

Brett Farve is the best player to ever play the game of football. This guy is a super freak of nature. If anyone deserved to play until he wished to call it a game, it is Brett Farve. I just hope all those who own the Packers relish those two losses and remember the ones who let the best player to ever play the game go. Farve at forty is better player than Mr. Rodgers ever will be.

I feel sorry for the Packer fans, I wish they had won, then they could've told Brett Farve to hit the road. I think he was a great player, but is he going to change his mind again, you bet.

Sorry, I think he's a great player, but he should retire, he's only playing for the attention and the media.

so? what IF Brett DOES change his mind again?

what IF Brett goes to the Saints, leads then on to Lambeau Field and out plays the Packers again?

your attack on the man because he's playing for the money is saying NO OTHER player IS . . . . .

sorrrryyyyyy . . .

every player in the NFL is in it for the money . . . wake up already.

and, SO WHAT if he showed his ass. looking at his stats, what i see is he pulls his weight for whatever team he plays for.

as for what the fans DESERVE . . . . maybe they should ask their home team why they allowed the Vikes to out play them. that's ALL they deserve!!

"sorry, i think he's a great player, but he should retire . . . "

as long as he produces, exactly WHY should he retire? what a DUHH statement to make, much less think.

GO BRETT!!!!! It shows that you have MORE class than GB fans. Green Bay fans need to grow up and stop with the crying and move on. Oh it was kind of ok when Brett was wearing the green and white of the JETS, but heaven forbid that he is in the purple. Brett has always played the game no matter what colors he wears. The fact that most of the GB fans have thrown away their Farve Jerseys and other things, just because he doesn't play for them anymore is sad and pathetic. "Oh he tore your heart out when he left...TOO BAD. Live with it!!!!! The only reason that you hate the fact that Brett doesn't play for you anymore is that with BRETT went you ONLY hope of winning a super bowl. Not taking anything away from Rogers, but come on...he will never be as good as FARVE. Green Bay (FANS) grow up, get over it, move on, TOO BAD SOOOOO SAD!!!!!!! GO VIKINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Packer fans dont deserve any sympathy. They had Favre for 16 years and enjoyed the fruits of his labor. Now that hes gone, they all hate him. I heard them Boo him many a time on TV when he would throw all those silly INT's at the worst time. The NFL is a business, not a social club. Players shouldnt be held accountable for fans feelings when they leave.

I live in the Twin Cities and while watching one of our local news stations live reports on the game, they showed a Packer fan, after the game, crying like his mother had just died. He was decked out in Packer garb from head to toe, which is fine, but he was crying SO hard that he could barely speak. You could not understand what he was attempting to say!!!
Whoever was with him (friends/family), were trying to console him and yelling at the reporter to turn the cameras off. They were also commenting on how it wasn't funny.
I was thinking that maybe it was a joke, but you could tell it was not.
All I can say is WTF???? Just WHAT is happening in someones life when a sporting event has that much importance??? And putting that much personal involvement in something you have NO control over anyway. Regardless of the team...it's PATHETIC....VERY, VERY PATHETIC!!!!!!

you dudes take this crap way too serious man! i have always loved the dallas cowboys, but if king aikman went and played for another team because the cowboys didn't want him anymore. i wouldn't feel any resentment toward him! and i would still recognize that he was one of the best quaterbacks of all time. well farve is just doing what he has to do to be able play a game that he loves! you got to admit the packers deserved it for letting him go! :oP

I watched that game...ever since I was a kid, and my grandpa rooted for Vince Lambardi, I have always respected the Packers... will never forget when Favre's father passed away and Brett went out and Played the game of his life on Monday night Football... oh how the Packer fans adored him then....
the front office made a move for a younger player..stating that Favre had seen his better days...
he retired, and then (Like MJ) decided to come back.....
and all of the guts , glory and body parts he left on the field in Green Bay, were reduced to NOTHING by the totally CLASSLESS fans in Green and yellow!!! not only did they boo him....they booed him every time he walked onto the field... you could hear the hurt in his voice during the post game interview....
I hope that as long as Favre plays football, he beats Green Bay every single time they play!! The fans got what they always got, FAVRE PLAYING HIS BEST!!!!
