Bump ban produces single-file Talladega (AP)

To anyone watching, Sunday's race at Talladega Superspeedway looked like a high-speed protest of NASCAR's pre-race ban on bumping in turns. Cars paraded around the 2.66-mile speedway in a long, single-file line after NASCAR made it clear that bump-drafting would not be tolerated. "It wasn't like everybody was in their cars and we were like, 'Let's get single-file and prove... » Full Story on Yahoo! Sports

The bump ban was for the turns not the straightaways. They ran single file a few races ago and there was no ban in place then! Thats a pretty poor excuse trying to blame nascar for how it played out Sunday at Talladega!!

Is it really? I never heard of that. Are you looking for wealthy men? I know a hot and interesting place named Billionairepal.com where I have met my boyfriend. You may take a look.

The race at Dega sucked. Drivers don't bump draft in the corners any way. Nascar just didn't want to have 2 drivers hooked up to pull away from the field like the spring race. Unless it was the 48 team then it would have been ok. Now I like every driver in the Hendrick stable, but there have been alot of questionable calls that the 48 team has been getting.

Officials have to stop monkeying with the cars at each track. There used to be several tracks where I looked forward to the race with great expectation, 'dega was one of them. Now it's just a 200 mile an hour parade.
There have been times when Texas, Fontana and Chicagoland have looked just the same. I really don't want a big wreck but it's the "hell yeah" attitude of great drivers who get out there and race that make it worth watching. You're going to ruin the sport at the rate you're going. If its your carbon footprint you're worried about, here's a thought:
Run the qualifying laps. The top five drivers get to keep their motors. These five are connected by cable to the remaining 38 and tow them around for three hours in single file. Wadaya think?

The morons at Nascar make these stupid rules for the 48 team. This would give them a 4th championship and something that the water-heads that call themselves official can tell their kids they did. The drivers don't bump draft in the corners anyway. they know that 2 cars can hook up and run faster than the rest. Nascar doesn't want that. They made a last minute rule change and the race sucked, it was a snooze fest. Worse race I have ever watched, and my first race was the 79 Daytona 500. Nascar you need to man up and admit you screwed the pooch on this one.
